NZ Green Building Council Case Study

The NZ Green Building Council followed us around for a bit on one of our projects and talked to us about our green-building practices. Watch this quick video and find out how we recycled 70% of waste (yes, 70%!) from the project.

This video follows our progress as we work to put good waste management strategies in place on a building site.

We looked at making a plan for managing waste on site and the key things that needed to be included in that plan. They were:

  1. Work out the types and quantities of waste
  2. Sort out how it will be dealt with and where it will go
  3. Make sure the plan is followed.

Watch the our team as we work out how to put the waste management plan in place. One of the key aspects of our plan was to establish the destination for each form of waste. Because the site was small, we also needed smaller bins and more frequent pickups.
