David and Judith make a stand

Caught up in a leaky apartment in Remuera. David and Judith made a stand. They would never undertake any building work without absolute certainty on workmanship and guarantee.With an architect daughter based overseas they set out to create their unleakable new home. A complex project on a very tight site. All steel framing, Hebel(aerated concrete) floors and a mixture of cladding systems.

After exhaustive research with several building companies, they contacted Keola.

Keola Homes and Sanjesh Lal have been excellent in dealing with an extremely difficult site. This site is very small, steep and cross-leased. Having to cope with over reactive neighbours was done with great tact and diplomacy by him.

Sanjesh, with his Civil Engineering background, was able to appreciate the design that our Architect had produced for this site. He was able to see the advantages of using the steel framing and Hebel flooring. Other building companies were unable or unwilling to do so.

We have been greatly impressed by him and his team with their cheerful “can do” attitude in building for us our great new home.

Reena and Ismail need a bigger house

With a growing child, Reena and Ismail needed to get into a bigger house. A more convenient location in mind, they started their research on available sections. Our gentle nudging away from duds, finally settled on a site close to the city. We designed their dream home…carefully balancing the needs of both husband, wife (and child). The result was a modern, architectural home on the city fringes with spectacular uninterrupted views.

Jeroen gets flooded

In February 2007, our family brought a new house in Blockhouse Bay from Sanjesh. Once sold, some builders wash their hands of any subsequent problems but Sanjesh is concerned that people are happy that they brought one of his houses and is totally approachable. I’m sure he will continue to develop properties that he can be proud of.

Sanjesh, Congratulations on another success in House of the Year Awards. You must be very pleased to be recognised for your excellent home building.

Everything here is going well. Almost everything in the house still looks like new. I love coming home each evening and seeing my lovely, fresh, clean colourful home.

Deciding to choose a builder from whom you want to have the quality, integrity and personality is not easy to find these days, we had been around to a few builders before we got referred to Keola Homes by a reputable architect. And we must say that we found the above within him. Sanjesh, from day one showed that he can deliver how we wanted our dream home to be. He was very upfront with how he did his costing and also advised that he will be very flexible unlike other builders out there. And he has delivered just that.

We have had good contact over the period of the construction and he regularly kept us up to date on the progress and advising where we could save a bit of money. The biggest advantage was Sanjesh being a Chartered Civil Engineer and this was the added bonus for the entire project. The other deciding factor for us to choose Keola Homes was that they are a member of the Master Builders Federation and to top it up, they recently won a Master Builder House of the Year Award!
