When we first walked through the doors of Matipo Primary School, we knew this project was going to be something special. Let’s start with the heart of the school, the classrooms and library. Ten classrooms and the large library received a complete makeover, and the results are nothing short of stunning.

• Acoustic Wall Linings: Modern acoustic wall linings were installed to absorb reflected sound, improving sound quality and creating a quieter, more focused learning environment.
• Durable Flooring: We laid down tough, long-lasting flooring that can handle the hustle and bustle of daily school life while adding a touch of aesthetic appeal.
• Fresh Paint Finishes: A fresh coat of paint can do wonders, and the new finishes have transformed these spaces into bright, welcoming areas that spark creativity.
• Library Breakout Spaces: The library now features breakout spaces designed to encourage flexible learning and collaboration. Whether it’s group projects or quiet reading time, these spaces are built to adapt.
• Timber Joinery Replacement: Some timber joinery was replaced with durable, low-maintenance aluminium to enhance the longevity of the fittings.

Toilet Facilities Upgrade: Practical, Modern, and Student-Friendly

Let’s be honest, school bathrooms aren’t usually something to write home about. But at Matipo Primary, we changed that.

• Fifteen Renovated Toilet Blocks: We gave these spaces a complete overhaul, from new flooring to modern wall linings, durable partitions, and updated sanitary fixtures.
• Asbestos Removal: Safety always comes first. Extensive asbestos removal was completed in the bathrooms, ensuring a safe environment for students and staff.
• Modern and Practical: The result? Clean, modern, and functional bathrooms that students can actually feel good about using.

Specialty Room Conversion: From Arts to Food Technology

One of the most exciting parts of this project was transforming the existing arts/performance room into a fully functional food technology room.

• Extensive Plumbing and Drainage Work: This conversion required significant plumbing and drainage upgrades to accommodate the new functionality.
• New Cabinetry: We installed modern cabinetry to provide ample storage and workspace for students and teachers.
• Complex Adjustments: The existing structure posed some challenges, but our team ensured the new room met all requirements without compromising on quality.

Structural Repairs: Safety First
