Botany Downs Primary, located at 35 Mirrabooka Ave, Botany Downs, Auckland, NZ, underwent a comprehensive upgrade and renovation, resulting in a safer, more conducive, and engaging learning environment for students.
Classroom, Library, and Staffroom Upgrades:
Classrooms: Fifteen classrooms were upgraded with modern acoustic wall linings to improve sound quality by absorbing reflected sound or echoes, creating a quieter and more focused learning environment. New durable, aesthetically pleasing flooring was installed to enhance both visual appeal and functionality. Fresh paint finishes were applied to rejuvenate the spaces, creating a vibrant and stimulating atmosphere conducive to learning.
Library: The large library received similar upgrades, including new acoustic wall linings to minimise noise disruptions, new flooring for durability and ease of maintenance, and fresh paint finishes to create an inviting and inspiring environment.
Staffroom: The staffroom was also upgraded with new acoustic wall linings to provide a quieter, more comfortable space for staff to relax and collaborate. New flooring and paint finishes refreshed the space, improving its overall aesthetics.
Toilet Facilities Refurbishment:
Toilet Blocks: Two toilet blocks were refurbished to improve hygiene, functionality, and appearance.
Adjacent Classroom: The classroom adjacent to the toilet blocks was refurbished as well, ensuring a cohesive look and feel throughout the school. This included new flooring, wall linings, and paint finishes to match the upgraded standards of the other classrooms.
Cladding Replacement: Cladding was replaced in areas where previous repairs had been unsatisfactory, ensuring the building's structural integrity and weathertightness, providing a safe and secure environment for students and staff.
