Everglade Primary School, located at 64 Everglade Drive, Goodwood Heights, Auckland, NZ, underwent a comprehensive Designing Quality Learning Spaces (DQLS) upgrade focused on enhancing four classrooms.
The project aimed to improve the learning environment by upgrading acoustics, aesthetics, and infrastructure.
CLASSROOM UPGRADES:
Acoustic Wall Linings: Existing acoustic wall linings were replaced with high-performance materials to significantly improve sound quality. This upgrade helped absorb excess noise and reduce reverberation, fostering a quieter and more conducive learning atmosphere.
Floor Coverings: Existing floor coverings were replaced with durable, low-maintenance, and visually appealing options, enhancing classroom aesthetics while contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.
Plaster and Paint: The classrooms were refreshed with new plaster and paint finishes. Wall imperfections were repaired, and a fresh coat of paint was applied to create a bright, cheerful, and engaging learning space.
ROOF REPAIRS:
Roof Ridges Replacement: Roof ridges were replaced to ensure the structural integrity and weathertightness of the building. This essential repair prevented leaks and safeguarded the building’s long-term durability.
