Malone Road Drainage Upgrade, Carpark and Civil Works
Civil and drainage infrastructure for a large Kainga Ora social housing development in Mt Wellington, including stormwater treatment, retaining, and new service connections under live road conditions.
Keola delivered full civil, drainage, and siteworks for this project, transforming a constrained brownfield site into a fully serviced residential platform ready for vertical construction.
The scope covered earthworks, retaining walls, stormwater treatment, wastewater upgrades, water connections, and new kerb and channel works under Auckland Transport consent.
An EnviroPod stormwater filtration system was installed to meet Auckland Council stormwater quality standards.
The team worked around high-voltage cables and gas mains along Mount Wellington Highway and managed the undergrounding of overhead power lines to enable building works.
Operating in a busy suburban environment required careful traffic management and precise coordination with multiple utility providers, as public footpaths and live services ran directly alongside our excavation zones.
Despite challenging weather and limited access, the project was completed with zero safety incidents and full compliance sign-off from Council and Watercare inspectors.
